FINISH

The finishing touches on your concrete projects.

After the preparation is complete, it’s time to pour the concrete. This stage is where various aesthetics can be leveraged to make sure that the concrete work is finished to meet the design and appearance desired by the client.

Our goal is Simple – to make concrete easy for our customers.  We can achieve our goal by hitting schedules, having industry leading standards, and constant communication with our customers.

A selection of finishes to meet your specifications.

We are happy to provide all types of concrete finishes to meet your specification and needs. This can include a variety of surface finishes, a selection of colors and innovative designs for projects. CF offers these options to ensure that the product we produce satisfies any request.

  • Smooth Finish

This is the most common type of finish for concrete. Using a trowel, the concrete is smoothed and fine-levelled.

  • Broomed Finish

This provides a rough texture to the concrete finish by dragging a broom on the smoothed surface while the concrete is still malleable.

  • Magnesium Float Finish

This type of finish is done with a float not a trowel. It can vary on texture from rough to smooth depending on what is desired. Magnesium finish can be used as an option instead of Broom finish to give concrete different appearance.

  • Exposed Aggregate

By removing a thin layer off of the top of the poured concrete. Depending on the polish, this finish can offer a rough or smooth texture that showcases the stones in the concrete.

  • Stamped

By pressing a pattern intricately into the fresh concrete, we can transform it into beautiful repeating designs. These can often be used to give the appearance of slate, tile or brick.

 Our Standards for Concrete Pouring

We have implemented a quality control process that is completed on ALL concrete after we pour.  We do this so that we can confirm the finished product meets our standards and our customer’s expectations.  Doing the Quality Control as soon possible, allows us to identify and rectify any potential site issues to minimize the delays these problems may create.  It also provides us unvaulable information for training and continued improvement throughout the process.

CF Construction seeks to meet or exceed the guidelines set out by the Alberta New Homeowner Warranty Program and Alberta Government in regards to all concrete projects and/or issues related to those projects.
